{"id":2124,"date":"2021-01-12T16:40:30","date_gmt":"2021-01-12T14:40:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mma.graftik.lv\/?page_id=2124"},"modified":"2022-01-09T16:14:26","modified_gmt":"2022-01-09T14:14:26","slug":"description","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/memorialiemuzeji.lv\/en\/description\/","title":{"rendered":"About us"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The Association of Memorial Museums is a direct management institution of The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It began its work on October 1, 2009, and was established by the Cabinet of Ministers with Instruction No 369, 2 June 2009, on establishing the state agency &#8220;The Literature and Music Museum and The Literature, Theater and Music Collection,&#8221; the state agency &#8220;Association of Memorial Museums,&#8221; and the state agency &#8220;The Literature, Theater and Music Museum,&#8221; along with reorganisation of the state agency &#8220;Oj\u0101rs V\u0101cietis Memorial Museum&#8221; and the state agency &#8220;Andrejs Up\u012bts Memorial Museum.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Association contains six museums:<br><strong>The J\u0101nis Akuraters Museum<\/strong>,<br><strong>The Kri\u0161j\u0101nis Barons Museum<\/strong>,<br><strong>The Rainis and Aspazija Museum<\/strong> (including the Rainis and Aspazija House in Riga, the Rainis and Aspazija Summer House in Majori, the Rainis Museum &#8220;Jasmui\u017ea&#8221; and the Rainis Museum &#8220;Tadenava&#8221;),<br><strong>The Janis Rozent\u0101ls and R\u016bdolfs Blaumanis Museum<\/strong>,<br><strong>The Andrejs Up\u012bts Memorial Museum<\/strong> (in R\u012bga and in Skr\u012bveri),<br><strong>The Oj\u0101rs V\u0101cietis Museum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work of the association is to ensure that the lives and creative work of important individuals from the cultural history in Latvia are presented in a modern way and in a memorial environment which reflects the development of Latvian literature and culture from the perspective of specific notable persons and their lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our aim is to continue to nurture the individuality of each memorial museum while, at the same time, ensuring a harmonised environmental supervision and development strategy and a unified museum philosophy.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Association of Memorial Museums is a direct management institution of The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.&nbsp; [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-2124","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/memorialiemuzeji.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/2124","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/memorialiemuzeji.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/memorialiemuzeji.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/memorialiemuzeji.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/memorialiemuzeji.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2124"}],"version-history":[{"count":5,"href":"https:\/\/memorialiemuzeji.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/2124\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":4446,"href":"https:\/\/memorialiemuzeji.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/2124\/revisions\/4446"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/memorialiemuzeji.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2124"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
