The Association of Memorial Museums (Latvia) invites museum professionals across Europe to join an experience‑sharing webinar “Mindfulness in Museums” on April 29th at 12:00 EEST / 11:00 CEST on Zoom. The event will take place on Zoom and will focus on wellbeing‑oriented practices in museum environments.
In 2025, the Association of Memorial Museums launched the initiative “Here and Now”, encouraging visitors to experience museums as spaces for reflection, mindful presence, and emotional engagement. The project highlights the growing role of museums in supporting wellbeing, fostering dialogue, and offering moments of pause in an increasingly fast‑paced world.
During the seminar, representatives of the Association will share insights from the “Here and Now” initiative — a series of meditative, sensory, and reflective experiences created across eight memorial museums in Latvia. Participants from other European museums are warmly invited to contribute their own examples of wellbeing‑focused projects, exchange ideas, and explore possibilities for future collaboration.
